We are at a key moment

The Protect Our Games act (AB-1921) -- a Stop Killing Games bill in California -- has passed the State Assembly and now needs to move through the State Senate.

Assembly Bill (AB) 1921 would provide needed protections and transparency for consumers when video game developers or publishers make the difficult decision to pull support for their products, rendering them inoperable. Specifically, it would require a video game publisher to proactively notify players before ceasing its support of a server connected game, and upon the game’s end of life. Further, this bill would require a video game publisher to provide a playable version of the game or offer a full refund once services cease.

The bill needs to pass through 3 State Senate committees and just passed through the first one on 6/22, the next step is passing through the Business, Professions, and Economic Development Committee on 6/29

This is the moment for California residents to call their State Senators urging support of AB-1921.

After you fill this out you'll receive a call with instructions and then will be connected to your local State Senator
